Murder on the Down-Low is an intricately woven novel of mystery, cunning, love and friendship. Mr. Asher has taken a complicated and secretive subject and transformed it into an elegant and exciting story. Weaving a little known facet of gay life - men on the down-low - with a murder mystery, and characters whom readers will love to love, as well as love to hate, has left me thinking about this book long after I read the last page. I highly recommend this novel. It's a fast, captivating read. Not only did I enjoy the mystery, but I enjoyed learning about this area of gay culture that I knew nothing about. Don't read Murder on the Down-Low on the "down-low". Read it and then share it with your friends. That's what I'm doing.
